Car Presentation to Recipients Set for Wednesday, July 14, at 4 p.m. ET at Public Square in Downtown Cleveland
CLEVELAND, OH (July 7, 2021) – On Wednesday, July 14, a deserving Cleveland veteran will experience a life-changing event – the presentation of a vehicle to provide him independence and the ability to work and take care of their families – thanks to the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program along with car donors GEICO and Gerber Collision. The presentation will be held in conjunction with BodyShop Business magazine, a Babcox Media publication, which is headquartered in nearby Akron.
The presentation will be held at the Public Square, Quicken Loans Stage, in downtown Cleveland.
WHO: NABC Recycled Rides® program, along with partners:
- Vehicle donor GEICO
- Collision repair partner Gerber Collision
- A deserving veteran recipient selected by Volunteers of America Greater Ohio
WHAT: NABC®, GEICO, Gerber Collision and BodyShop Business will present the restored vehicles to Victor Schwartz, who served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, and today works as a security guard. His current vehicle is beyond affordable repair, so the gift of reliable transportation will allow him to get to work and doctors’ appointments.
NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 2,600 vehicles valued at more than $36 million.
